Worth the price just to see Ed O'Niel and Zippy... on repeated viewing this show is one of the highest pieces of writing I've seen in years from TV... or film... too bad the show was cancelled but it still sort of works as a ten episode mini series... it leaves you hanging at the end... but somehow even that sort of works for this... I Don't Know Butchie, Instead: Meaning

I figured since I decided to use this quote as the name for this website, I should at least give a brief description as to it's meaning...

Early in the season (actually, I think it was episode 1) When John didn't know what else to say when asked a question he would reply "Some things I know, and some things I don't".

After John repeatedly saying that, Butchie started to get annoyed. Butchie told John that next time he didn't know, simply just say "I Don't Know Butchie" instead...

John, of course took his words literally so he started including the word "Instead" in the saying. Thus, "I Don't Know Butchie Instead" means that John doesn't know the answer to a question. Or more specifically, he doesn't know "how" to answer...
